How to Promote a Social Media Facebook Post [2022]

Step 1. Log into your Facebook. 

Once you're logged in to your Facebook account, find your Page on the left side menu on your News Feed. Go to your page. 

Step 2. Find the post you want to boost. 

This can be a text, photo, video, or job post. If you don't have a post yet, create one. If you have one, go to your post on your Timeline.

Step 3. Choose Boost Post. 

You can see it in the bottom right-hand corner of your post. Once you find "Boost Post," click it.

What is Boost Post?

A boosted post is a post on your Page's time to apply money to promote it to your choosing audience. When you boost a post, it'll show up in your audience's Facebook News Feed as an ad. You can also select Instagram as an ad placement for your boosted post.

Step 4. Fill in the details for your ad.

After you click the Boost Post button, you will be redirected to a menu to choose targeting options. The default setting is that you could choose to include only people who currently like your Page or prevailing followers and friends. However, most businesses find it better to target a specific demographic based on age, location, sex, or interests. If you want to make a custom audience for your boosted post, click the Create New Audience option.

You will have the ability to define your audience however you’d like. You can add or remove locations, set the age range, and even include people interested in specific topics or pages.

DURATION

• For the duration and budget, the minimum budget required is 1$ per day. The higher the budget you have, the more people you reach. Choose your local or preferred currency.

PLACEMENTS

• Here you can see where people can see your boosted post. They can see it on Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.

PAYMENT 

• Choose your payment method. Click Add Payment Information and choose your preferred payment method.

AD PREVIEW

• You can see how your post looks like when boosted as an ad.

• Below, you can see the Estimated Daily Results (the estimated number of People Reached and Video Views) and your Payment Summary.

Step 5. When you've finished and reviewed everything, click Boost Post Now.
