Mastermind Group For Real Estate Photographer

A Successful Mastermind group is:

Collaborative (Realtime) – You get answers and feedback on the things that most matter to you. You get help and support on what’s most important and specific to your needs.  Not some generic information that may not apply to your current situation.



Supportive – Members love to help others and are therefore willing to offer their time, expertise, and assistance wherever possible.  They are addicted (in a nice way) to the dopamine that is released when they see others succeed.

Inclusive – The group is never about the individual but a combined effort to support each other and celebrate the wins and achievements collectively. Each member is given the same amount of time to ask for and offers advice.

Dynamic – Although it may follow a set agenda initially, the flow of each meeting is dynamic and therefore no 2 sessions are ever the same. The mastermind groups are constantly evolving over time and adapting to new ideas and principles. As groups build deeper trust and understanding of each other’s needs and wants, the nature of the group will change.

Flexible – There are many ways to inject different elements into your group to keep it fresh and interesting. Some of the What It Is Not list above can be incorporated into your meetings on an Adhoc basis to stimulate both fresh ideas but also new learning skills and techniques. It’s easy to fix what is right (do more of it) and what is not working (stop doing it)

Unique – No 2 mastermind groups are ever the same. When you join it’s a leap of faith initially, but it often takes a few weeks to work out the group dynamics and if the type of personality and group vibe is the right one for you. If not, then just find another one that closely matches what you want out of the group and how you can also help a group.

Rules for Building a Mastermind Group That Gets Results

1. Choose Your Members Wisely.

  • They must relate to you on a personal level. Can you see yourself being friends, or at least spending non-work time with the members of this group? The reality is, you’re likely going to spend at least a few hours each month either in-person or online with your mastermind members. If you don’t have similar interests, passions, hobbies, or experiences, you’re not going to click.

  • They must have similar experience. If your mastermind group has members who are coming right out of college and others with ten years of experience running their own business, it’s not going to work. It’ll be very challenging to strike a balance of sharing, and the value gained will be overwhelmingly lopsided. The more experienced members will gradually drift away or begin viewing it as simply a mentoring session, rather than a true mastermind group.

  • They can’t be your competitors. It’s not possible to give objective feedback, or trust recommendations when it’s coming from someone who you’re in direct competition with.

2. Set Ground Rules Immediately.

  • How often will you meet as a group? Weekly 

  • Which day of the week or month? Sunday 

  • What time? 5:00 AM

  • How long is each meeting? 1 hour

  • Is there a limit to how many members can join the group? 6

  • When and how are new members added to the group? At the end of the 6 week

  • What are the criteria for evaluating new members? Sales - Sale Goals - Not a competitor - compatible with the group

3. Have a Clear Agenda & Structure for Each Meeting.

4. Decide Upon a Group Leader.

5. Share Evenly.

Group Criteria

  • Doing at least 30,000 in sales.

  • Have the vision to grow your sales to at least half a million or more.

  • Focused on real estate photography.

  • Willing to attend all six meetings - weekly - 5:00 AM Sunday Morning 

  • The meeting starts on the first Sunday of September.

  • Willing to be in the hot seat at least once in the meeting rotation.

  • Willing to follow the guidelines as stated in this overview.

5:00 to 5:10 WELCOME Topic Presentation 


Top of the meeting a short presentation will be given by The Host on the following topics taking on one topic each week. These will not be in-depth lessons they will be short executive overviews with examples and references on the topics. The topics were chosen because these are the key components of every successful business.

Business departments include:

  1. Administration/operations. VA’s Roles 

  2. Research and development. Who - How - When

  3. Marketing and sales. Tools and What is working

  4. Human resources. Do’s and Do nots

  5. Customer service. What is it and what are the trends 

  6. Accounting and finance. PLs and Tools


5:10 to 5:20 

SHORT UPDATE ON THE PREVIOUS WEEK (ALL MEMBERS 3-5 MINUTES EACH)

A short update on the previous week (all members 3-5 minutes each)

  • Hot seat member advises they are having problems with something specific – Group can research and give feedback (Question needs to be quite specific to get better answers)

Introduction meeting last Sunday of August

  • The first meeting would be informal on the last Sunday of August

  • This would be a meeting so everyone could introduce themselves and get to know each other.

  • All meetings are online using Google's Meet

  • Introduction

  • Name

  • Website

  • Where are you located

  • A little bit about your background

  • A little bit about your personal hobbies and interests

  • A little bit about the volume of business. You do not have to give exact numbers.

  • What are your goals for participating in the group

  • What are some of your business goes

At the end of the meeting will check in with everyone to see if they're willing to proceed with the Mastermind schedule.
